Principles, Standards & Ethics

As professional mediators, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of family mediation and we abide by the Code of Practice laid down by the Family Mediation Council (FMC). Our mediators are accredited by FMC Member Organisations including the Family Mediators Association, the National Family Mediation or Resolution.

You can click the icons below to get more details of the relevant Codes of Practice. Furthermore, your mediator will let you know which body is responsible for your sessions.

Family Mediation Council

Family Mediation Council

The Family Mediation Council was established in October 2007 and works for greater public awareness of, and access to, family mediation. We work closely with the Legal Aid Agency (LAA) and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) on family mediation related projects.
